Session overview

Teachers and leaders are invited to join an online professional learning session that provides a practical walkthrough of how to make the most of The School Magazine in Stage 2 and Stage 3 classrooms. The session is designed for schools that currently subscribe or are interested in exploring how the magazine’s texts and resources can support curriculum planning in 2026.

Participants will be guided through a range of literature featured in the magazine, including short stories, articles, poems, plays and comic serials, and how these texts can be used to develop reading, writing, vocabulary and critical thinking skills. The session will also demonstrate how to navigate The School Magazine’s recently updated website, locate curriculum-aligned learning resources, and integrate lesson plans, worksheets and interactives into classroom practice.

The session will also introduce digital subscription features, including how to assign texts and activities, manage class groups and track student engagement. These tools support differentiated teaching and offer flexible options for literacy groups and blended learning.

A Q&A will follow the presentation, with opportunities to ask questions related to specific school contexts and implementation needs.
