Narrative writing – lesson plan bundle
Downloads
Overview
This lesson plan bundle supports teachers in guiding students through the full narrative writing process.
Designed for classroom use, the lessons move step by step from understanding genre through to drafting, revising and editing. The sequence can be taught as a complete unit or used selectively to target specific writing skills.
The lessons support explicit instruction in narrative structure, character development and language choices, while allowing flexibility for teachers to adapt to their class context.
They align with the NSW English K–10 syllabus and the Australian Curriculum: English, particularly outcomes relating to creating written texts and narrative structure.
